The symbol that launched 'a new kind of network'

Background: Comcast NBC Universal (a $198 billion conglomerate) set out to create 'a more modern way to mobile' – a 4G LTE network with millions of WiFi hotspots that automatically connect to save people money.

Launch: As well as helping to name Xfinity Mobile and writing their line, 'a new kind of network',  our team created the 'Opin' – a symbol that represented the coming together of 4G LTE + WiFi. This became the core of their brand identity, tying together the work of numerous agencies.  Since launch, the 'Opin' has been displayed on thousands of OOH placements, commercials, OLV, store signage, packaging – it's even the startup screen animation on customers' phones. 

Results: In its first year alone, Xfinity Mobile attracted over 380,000 new customers. Many industry commentators, including the Washington Post, attributed Xfinity Mobile with helping to send the stock price of Comcast Corp surging – they saw record fourth-quarter earnings in 2017.
